CBT is one of the therapy approaches that has been shown to be effective in scientific studies for depression, anxiety disorders and addictions. CBT teaches us how our thoughts, feelings and behaviors are interconnected and how we can evaluate and change thought patterns and in consequence painful feelings and harmful behaviors. In CBT you become a detective who evaluates your own inner network of emotions and cognitions and how they influence what you do and vice versa. In the context of CBT we will also use relaxation and mindfulness exercises and may work on careful exposures to anxiety provoking situations.
