I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, which means that I have a Masters Degree in Social Work and have then completed intensive training in psychotherapy and mental health care and passed two licensing board examinations by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. My license number is LCSW61849.
My Masters Degree in Social Work is from San Francisco State University and I also hold a Masters Degree in Literature from the University of Cologne.
I have gained experience at Mission Mental Health in San Francisco as well as St. Anthony Foundation and UCSF, Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute in an Intensive Outpatient Program for children and youth struggling with OCD.
My professional orientation is strength focused and solution oriented and I am credentialed in Narrative Therapy by the Vancouver School of Narrative Therapy. I also have training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Positive Psychology.
Before dedicating my life to working as a psychotherapist and social worker I was a professional fiction writer with many publications in Europe and America. I have been a Lambda Award finalist and have received a Certificate of Recognition by the California State Assembly for Literary Excellence.
